Hey Cameron, great article, had no idea you got up to this sort of thing in your spare time! This could easily be an article in the Athletic (pre-NYT).

One minor point I might make is that Seattle has only had an NHL franchise for a couple years, could certainly help to explain their number of likes!

Cheers,

Hey Jack, thanks for reading the article!

Haha I think that might be too lofty of praise, but I appreciate it!

I thought the same thing about the Kraken— I was surprised the Golden Knights were so high up the list at #22. Lots of smaller market teams down in the bottom half too so I'd be interested to plot the fandom against the population of the city they're in too.

Definitely pumped to keep getting your feedback on the articles!

Great point. Vegas definitely got a boost from being the first expansion team in about 20 years too. Coupled with the tragedy that took place shortly before the season, and in retrospect, the fact that their GM was able to get great value during that expansion draft (whereas other GMs were wise to it by the time the Kraken draft occurred) and I can totally see where that difference comes from.

Either way, looking forward to the next one!
